Questions regarding the following information may be directed to the facilitator of the EI Committee, Dr. Christine Ermold, or any member of the committee.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approximately 33% of surveyed teachers responded to this year\u2019s survey.\u00a0 Upon review of past data response rates, it was found that since the survey began in 2011, response rates have ranged between 28.5% and 40%.<\/li>\n<li>Over 90% of respondents indicated observational feedback resulted in reflection on their practice.<\/li>\n<li>78% of respondents said they made changes to their practice based on observational feedback.<\/li>\n<li>TEP Process is clearly highly regarded as a process that positively impacts student learning and professional growth.<\/li>\n<li>There is a lack of familiarity with the Rediker guides, but those who used them generally found them helpful.<\/li>\n<li>It was determined that no changes to the EI\u00a0Process are necessary at this time.<\/li>\n<li>Adjustments were made to the TEP form to make it easier to use.<\/li>\n<li>Strategies to promote peer observation were discussed.<\/li>\n<li>The benefits of TeachScape training for interested teachers, was discussed.<\/li>\n<li>The reporting requirements to the Department of Education and Early Development were discussed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Effective Instruction (EI) Committee met on\u00a0May 25, 2017 to review\u00a0data from the annual EI Process survey\u00a0and identify any needs in preparation for the 2017-18 school year.
